Fantastic Battles (2020-22) is a fast-play, mass-battle wargaming system designed for any fantasy setting.

The rules emphasise the tactical challenges of command friction and the fog of war through mechanics like randomised initiative, tabletop mishap rolls, and the impetuous decisions of unsupervised unit commanders.

This all-in-one volume contains rules for both stand-alone pitched battles and campaigns. The book provides 24 example army lists, but army building is flexible. A toolkit of base profiles and unit traits allows players to create customized armies that fit their own vision of their fantasy faction.

The game is scale-agnostic and uses multi-based figures, with no individual figure removal. It can be played with any fantasy miniatures, or with historical armies from the ancient to the early modern period.

Originally released in November 2020, the rules were updated to version 1.2 in December 2022 to clarify a small number of rules and add additional relics, unit traits, several scenarios for asymmetrical play, and siege rules.
